216
00:13:04,440 --> 00:13:10,639
who's named Jen Clawson and that you

217
00:13:07,159 --> 00:13:13,078
live on a farm near Olive Bridge well as

218
00:13:10,639 --> 00:13:15,839
long as we know all of that about you it

219
00:13:13,078 --> 00:13:20,319
can't do any harm to know your name

220
00:13:15,839 --> 00:13:23,320
Ken it's Timmy Timmy oh that's short for

221
00:13:20,320 --> 00:13:27,760
Timothy isn't it mhm but that's a nice

222
00:13:23,320 --> 00:13:29,560
name do you have an aunt too Aunt Abby

223
00:13:27,759 --> 00:13:32,639
oh

224
00:13:29,559 --> 00:13:32,638
Timmy I'm come

225
00:13:32,679 --> 00:13:37,599
here I'm sure you know that your aunt

226
00:13:35,198 --> 00:13:40,479
and uncle must be very unhappy about

227
00:13:37,600 --> 00:13:43,360
your having run away and you must have

228
00:13:40,480 --> 00:13:45,800
been very unhappy too to do

229
00:13:43,360 --> 00:13:50,000
it I don't want you to tell me about it

230
00:13:45,799 --> 00:13:52,078
now but if you'll trust me well you can

231
00:13:50,000 --> 00:13:55,210
stay here for a while and maybe I can

232
00:13:52,078 --> 00:13:56,758
help I'd like this

233
00:13:55,210 --> 00:13:59,800
[Music]

234
00:13:56,759 --> 00:14:02,240
stay what's that

235
00:13:59,799 --> 00:14:03,639

lock him I do why don't you go out and

237
00:14:03,639 --> 00:14:12,879
play with him geez

238
00:14:06,379 --> 00:14:17,078
[Music]

239
00:14:12,879 --> 00:14:17,078
thanks Lu okay this one's for you

240
00:14:17,679 --> 00:14:22,000
Jeff here you go

241
00:14:19,600 --> 00:14:24,560
Timmy you got to stay on your toes every

242
00:14:22,000 --> 00:14:27,679
minute now Tim

243
00:14:24,559 --> 00:14:30,319
okay okay now this one's for

244
00:14:27,679 --> 00:14:32,239
you good morning Yellen you're heading

245
00:14:30,320 --> 00:14:35,240
for a peck of trouble when you keep

246
00:14:32,240 --> 00:14:36,959
putting off taking that boy back to his

247
00:14:35,240 --> 00:14:39,320
Kinfolk well I'm going to call the

248
00:14:36,958 --> 00:14:41,719
welfare agency right now what are you

249
00:14:39,320 --> 00:14:44,720
calling them for you talked to the boy's

250
00:14:41,720 --> 00:14:46,519
Aunt this morning she knows he's here so

251
00:14:44,720 --> 00:14:48,800
all you got to do is take him back

252
00:14:46,519 --> 00:14:50,779
that's all don't you see because if you

253
00:14:48,799 --> 00:14:52,519
don't just mate listen to

254
00:14:50,779 --> 00:14:55,159
[Applause]

255
00:14:52,519 --> 00:14:57,039
me in the first place the the aunt

256
00:14:55,159 --> 00:14:59,639
didn't seem terribly concerned about

257
00:14:57,039 --> 00:15:01,719
Timmy oh you know she thank me all right

258
00:14:59,639 --> 00:15:03,600
but I've got the impression that she

259
00:15:01,720 --> 00:15:06,839
didn't particularly care whether Timmy

260
00:15:03,600 --> 00:15:08,320
got back today tomorrow or next week

261
00:15:06,839 --> 00:15:11,480
well you can't get nothing over the

262
00:15:08,320 --> 00:15:13,120
phone furthermore this child trusts us

263
00:15:11,480 --> 00:15:15,839
and I'm not going to do anything to

264
00:15:13,120 --> 00:15:17,278
break that trust above all I'm not going

265
00:15:15,839 --> 00:15:18,300
to send him back to a home where he's

266
00:15:17,278 --> 00:15:19,679
being

267
00:15:18,299 --> 00:15:22,078
[Applause]

268
00:15:19,679 --> 00:15:24,198
mistreated how do you know he's

269
00:15:22,078 --> 00:15:27,439
mistreated you know you're talking kind

270
00:15:24,198 --> 00:15:29,639
of foolish Ellen well maybe I am

271
00:15:27,440 --> 00:15:32,160
but I I don't know it just seems like

272
00:15:29,639 --> 00:15:34,360
the whole situation is bad I want to

273
00:15:32,159 --> 00:15:35,679
meet the uncle and the aunt and not at

274
00:15:34,360 --> 00:15:39,300
their place that's why I'm calling the

275
00:15:35,679 --> 00:15:40,120
welfare agency you

276
00:15:39,299 --> 00:15:41,758
[Applause]

277
00:15:40,120 --> 00:15:44,560
[Music]

278
00:15:41,759 --> 00:15:47,240
ready I'll get

279
00:15:44,559 --> 00:15:49,958
[Music]

280
00:15:47,240 --> 00:15:51,959
in oh yes I spoke with his aunt earlier

281
00:15:49,958 --> 00:15:54,838
this

282
00:15:51,958 --> 00:15:57,119
morning yes I know that but I'd be glad

283
00:15:54,839 --> 00:15:59,319
to drive in if you can arrange for his

284
00:15:57,120 --> 00:16:02,919
aunt and uncle to be at your office

285
00:15:59,318 --> 00:16:05,799
come on Timmy I'd like to talk with

286
00:16:02,919 --> 00:16:08,318
him oh good that'll be fine thank you

287
00:16:05,799 --> 00:16:12,240
very much Miss Bo

288
00:16:08,318 --> 00:16:15,479
goodbye oh come on Timmy hurry up

289
00:16:12,240 --> 00:16:18,480
Timothy's my youngest sister's boy when

290
00:16:15,480 --> 00:16:21,560
they uh when the accident happened we

291
00:16:18,480 --> 00:16:24,240
took him in he didn't have no other

292
00:16:21,559 --> 00:16:27,518
family ain't no kind of a life for a boy

293
00:16:24,240 --> 00:16:30,360
on our place it's too Lonesome with just

294
00:16:27,519 --> 00:16:33,839
us the clins have no

295
00:16:30,360 --> 00:16:36,240
children I've been ailing and jets had

296
00:16:33,839 --> 00:16:39,680
the housework to do on top of the

297
00:16:36,240 --> 00:16:42,879
farming and all I guess maybe we're both

298
00:16:39,679 --> 00:16:46,198
too old to start having children

299
00:16:42,879 --> 00:16:50,000
around we don't rightly know what to do

300
00:16:46,198 --> 00:16:52,039
to make him happy we try but there ain't

301
00:16:50,000 --> 00:16:55,039
much of the day or our strength left

302
00:16:52,039 --> 00:16:57,480
when we get around to it and what would

303
00:16:55,039 --> 00:17:01,318
I be feeling poorly

304
00:16:57,480 --> 00:17:03,560
and I understand well the the boy didn't

305
00:17:01,318 --> 00:17:08,798
run away on on account of we treated him

306
00:17:03,559 --> 00:17:12,119
bad oh no he did it for us he told me so

307
00:17:08,798 --> 00:17:15,160
himself he said he wasn't earning his

308
00:17:12,119 --> 00:17:19,038
king of course I told him that didn't

309
00:17:15,160 --> 00:17:21,679
make a speck a difference but he's a

310
00:17:19,038 --> 00:17:21,679
prideful

311
00:17:21,720 --> 00:17:28,880
one as I

312
00:17:24,359 --> 00:17:30,879
know I I wonder if it would help any of

313
00:17:28,880 --> 00:17:33,679
if maybe Timmy stayed with us for the

314
00:17:30,880 --> 00:17:35,840
summer I I mean would it be possible

315
00:17:33,679 --> 00:17:37,440
Miss boar well that would be up to Mr

316
00:17:35,839 --> 00:17:41,079
and Mrs

317
00:17:37,440 --> 00:17:43,400
Clon oh we'd like very much to have him

318
00:17:41,079 --> 00:17:46,109
my son Jeff is a few years older but

319
00:17:43,400 --> 00:17:49,080
there are children his age in the

320
00:17:46,109 --> 00:17:53,399
[Applause]

321
00:17:49,079 --> 00:17:53,399
neighborhood whatever's best for the

322
00:17:57,400 --> 00:18:01,070
boy

323
00:17:59,539 --> 00:18:02,200
[Music]

324
00:18:01,069 --> 00:18:03,678
[Applause]

325
00:18:02,200 --> 00:18:04,940
I'm going away and you can't come with

326
00:18:03,679 --> 00:18:06,320
me so don't follow

327
00:18:04,940 --> 00:18:08,840
[Music]

328
00:18:06,319 --> 00:18:12,960
me I guess I can't stop you if you want

329
00:18:08,839 --> 00:18:12,959
to come along at least I won't be

330
00:18:16,880 --> 00:18:19,880
alone

331
00:18:20,279 --> 00:18:25,059
Timmy

332
00:18:21,849 --> 00:18:25,059
[Music]

333
00:18:25,359 --> 00:18:32,240
Timmy he's not in the barn t me but Jeff

334
00:18:30,159 --> 00:18:33,960
how could you do a thing like this I

335
00:18:32,240 --> 00:18:35,319
didn't do it Mom grandson were working

336
00:18:33,960 --> 00:18:37,480
on the pickup he was supposed to be

337
00:18:35,319 --> 00:18:40,279
taking a nap well there ain't no sign of

338
00:18:37,480 --> 00:18:42,279
them well this is terrible now there

339
00:18:40,279 --> 00:18:44,440
ain't no sense of getting upset about he

340
00:18:42,279 --> 00:18:47,319
can't have gone

341
00:18:44,440 --> 00:18:50,320
far where's

342
00:18:47,319 --> 00:18:52,918
Lassie she's gone too he you see

343
00:18:50,319 --> 00:18:54,158
Lassie's probably with him so all right

344
00:18:52,919 --> 00:18:56,080
ain't it there ain't nothing to worry

345
00:18:54,159 --> 00:18:57,720
about what do you mean there's nothing

346
00:18:56,079 --> 00:18:59,359
to worry about that child is our

347
00:18:57,720 --> 00:19:00,360
responsibility

348
00:18:59,359 --> 00:19:01,879
Jeff where do you think they would have

349
00:19:00,359 --> 00:19:03,959
gone we would have seen them if they

350
00:19:01,880 --> 00:19:06,440
went past the barn they probably went

351
00:19:03,960 --> 00:19:06,740
past the house into the North Woods well

352
00:19:06,440 --> 00:19:07,610
